G! Event - Baby You're A Star

AMAZING! That pretty much sums up our first event.

With the help of God, our Girlfriends Event Team (GET), and many other St. Stephens Girlfriends, we transformed the Parish Hall into Hollywood just in time to welcome our almost 200 Girlfriends to "Baby, You're A Star!" Our first event was nothing short of AMAZING!

The women strolled down the red carpet where they were greeted then shown into Hollywood for star treatment. There they had options of heading to the spa (for massage, nail polish, hair consults, etc.), the cafe' and candy bar, shopping on Rodeo Drive, playing relay games with Girlfriends, crafting a beaded spoon, etc. Before we knew it, the 2-hour event was over and most of the women were left wanting more.

The testimonials from the night were overwhelming. A few of the women were attending their first church event after being in the parish for over 15-20 years! The GET team continues to receive praise and thanks for tending to the needs of the women in the parish and inviting them into a friendly and safe place to share Jesus with one another.

Through Cast the Vision and Baby, You're A Star, we now know that Girlfriends is a welcomed and needed ministry. Thanks be to, God.
